hey friends, it's been awhile. i have honestly just been in kind of a funk lately and my creative process has been lacking. i am still in the process of trying to begin some new projects for 2010. like 365-photos and a layout a day - but i have been bad and missed a few days here and there. but i am trying to get into the groove of things. lately i have caught up with lovin mini-books. i have a few that i have been working on. and i am trying to make small simple ones to capture everyday life. this is just a quick little simple mini-book that i created awhile back of my baby girl on the tractor. there are just a few pages and it is a really simple design. i am looking for more great ideas for mini-books. so if anybody has any ideas i would totally love for you to share your info with me. until next time thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day! smiles, m-

happy thursday friends! tomorrow is friday - yippee!! i am so ready for the weekend. it is gonna just be a blast! omg, i so totally can not wait for saturday. i am attending a "scrap pink" crop at one of the local scrapbook stores in my area with my sister. i am just so excited!! we are so looking forward to it. so it starts at 10:00am and lasts until mid-night, whoo-hoo!! fun times to be had - for sure. right now i am trying to get everything ready. this will be my very first time to attend a crop that lasts this long. and i am so totally clueless as to what i should take and what i want to work on, etc... any suggestions?! eek - i am just so totally stoked! it will be a day of pure scrappy sweetness - and speaking of sweetness i thought that i would post a pic of my all time favorite layout *sweetness*: created with my all time favorite products - i {heart} american crafts! and i just love this pic of little miss bryn too (sigh they just grow-up way too darn fast). thx for stopping by and peeking - hope you guys have a totally super day!! :) smiles, m-

happy tuesday friends! i just wanted to share one of my favorite layouts that i created for the birthday bash crop at scrapattack this past weekend. this layout was for the scraplift challenge and we were all assigned another member to lift that had signed up to play along - and i lifted a diggi layout by joyce ann. and i am i just lovin' the results! so for this layout i used some super fun new sassafrass lass - me likey papers, stickers and die-cuts. it was super fun to play with and i can't wait to pick up some more. totally yumminess! well, thanks for stopping by and i hope that you all have a wonderful day! :) smiles, m-

hey friends! just a super quick post. wanted to share a few more projects that i created using the IAAS june kit. i created these two little cards using this fun felt and flowers from prima and then i made a little father's day ticket book. the ticket book is maya road and actually came from the IAAS march kit - but i thought that it would work perfectly with these papers and my father's day theme. on the back of each ticket there is a fun good for one ticket for my hubby to cash in from the girls and me (just silly little things) but i think that it turned out really cute. thx for stopping by & have a wonderful tuesday! :) smiles & hugs, m-

sorry that i have been mia lately. and this is just gonna be a super short post - but i just wanted to take a quick second and share these pics of the girls. man, the weather here has just been so beautiful lately. which has been good for all of michael's swim meets (pictures to post later).

okay, so this past sunday we had a family day outside - we took the girls fishing and to feed the ducks. they both had so much fun. ashlyn was putting the fish in her shirt and trying to save them to bring home with her - ick! later she asked us, "what stinks?" lol. it was her shirt from those fish. she is such a silly girl - funny, huh?! oh and we also spent sometime at the butterfly gardens and the park. i think the time at the park was the girls favorite part of the day - but we all had a super fun day together. anyway, these are just a few super cute pictures of the girls playing at the park... hope you have a wonderful day! thanks for stopping by and take care! :) smiles, m-

happy be-lated NSD my friends. so ladies how did you celebrate - share your stories. i had a mini-crop at my house and my mother and sister came over to scrap and have fun. above i posted three of my favorite layouts that i created on saturday. the first layout i used some yummy luxe design papers. the second is we r memory keepers (from one of the april back porch memories kits) and the third has some yummy american crafts! all of these layouts were created as part of the nsd crop over at scrap attack (http://www.scrapattackscrapbooking.com/) super fun challenges and so many super fun girls. i had a blast playing along and was just so inspired - thx everyone! i hope that you were able to be creative this past weekend too. so today i am under the weather - ugh. i am feelin' so sick. i've got a doctors appointment schedule for tomorrow to find out what this crud is... i sat that 10 to 1 i bet that i have a sinus infection but i am also feeling alot of crud in my chest too - so we shall see tomorrow. i hope that things have been going well for you and that you and your families are all in good health. take care and talk to you soon! :) smiles & hugs, m-

happy earth day! what are you doing today to help save the planet?? we have recently started to make a conscious effort to use less electricity and water. and i have also made a lot of new changes at both home and work towards recycling.

happy friday! i thought that i would share some super cute pics from the other day when we took the girls to the park to play and have a picnic. little bryn just thought that she was so big playing and climbing on everything - man, does she love the slides. i think that the weather is going to be perfect again this weekend, so maybe we will take another trip to the park to play and ride bikes. and maybe miss ash will be in the mood to let me take some photos of her this time around. hope you all have a totally fab weekend! smiles, m-

happy holidays - from our family to yours!

the new year is just around the corner - tomorrow it will be 2009. i cannot believe that it is already a new year. where does the time go? we had a wonderful new christmas with both familes and like most of the population we also got a new Wii - i think that this was the best gift that we got for our family, we have all had so much fun playing it together. i am sure that we will have some crazy challenges tonight. i am looking forward to the fun. i hope that everyone has a very happy and safe new year - welcome 2009! hugs, m -

holy wow - can you believe it snowed here? it was just the coolest thing too. it was the day after ashlyn's birthday - and i was just getting off of work and their were the littlest teeny flakes falling. but then by the time the bus got to my car it was really coming down making it a tad difficult to drive. once i got the girls and we got home they were both so excited - neither one of them have ever really seen snow before. man, the last time that it actually snowed here was right after ashlyn was born in 2004 - so this was a big deal. here is a cute picture of ashlyn and her snowball that she made with her daddy. this was really fun - having snow in teaxs - the way the weather has been lately it may even snow here again before christmas... anyway, i hope that everyone has a happy and safe holiday! smiles, m -

sorry that the pictures are so late - but my little brynlee girl had a wonderful birthday party and she is now two years old and just thinks that she is such big stuff now. she is really just so super cute. so finally - here are a few photos from her party that day - as you can see it was a sponge bob square pants themed party - her obsession right now - she just loves that show. and now we are in the process of planning my other daughter's "princess" birthday. ashlyn will be turning four years old on december 9th. time is just going by so fast and my baby girls are growing up... hopefully i will get the photos from her birthday up sooner than these. thanks for stopping by and have a great day! hugs, m-

this is b - my sweet baby girl on her birthday last year. where does the time go... this sunday she will be turning two - and man, she just thinks that she is so big now and can do everything all by herself. it seems like just yesterday she was that teeny-tiny baby. she is the last baby that i will have - and she will always be my little baby, no matter how big she thinks she is.

magistical memories chipboard - flutterby...

this is one of my many layouts that i have created for round 2 at magistical memories - i used the flutterby chipboard along with papers from october afternoon. i am so excited to be one of the top 27 for this contest - i love using chipboard on my layouts, i love the demension it adds to my layouts and i love being able to alter it to fit the needs of my projects. i just did a little doodling to these super cute little butterflies to help them pop on this layout. oh and i have also been waiting to scrap this beautiful photo of my daughter for awhile now - it is one of my most favorite recent pictures of her - my pretty little girl. thx for peeking and have a great day!

whoop! whoop! i've gotta toot! i am just so super excited. i made it to round 2 of the magistical memories chipboard artist design team call - they are a laser chipboard company and their products are so totally amazing. okay, so there are 27 very tallented ladies going on to the second round (including myself - yippee) where we will all be sent the same chipboard to create with for round 2. i am so looking forward to seeing what amazing chipboard they are sending us all to work with. so wish me luck - oh and check out the list of all of the girls that made it to round 2.. this group is totally amazing!!

ariel & the pink fairy -

okay, so it’s now time for me to share some Halloween pics – of my two little cuties: Ariel (the little mermaid) and the pink fairy. we really wanted the little one to be Tinkerbell, but unfortunately we could not find a costume in her size. so she was a pink fairy – which was totally fine with her (in all honestly I really don’t think that she really cared either way herself) she just wanted those wings… and of course I didn’t get to take as many photos as I wanted – for some reason my two little cuties did not want to participate in taking Halloween photos… hmm, I can only wonder why? but we had a great Halloween none the less and I hope that everyone else had a great time too!

so tomorrow is the big day - halloween - and everyone at our house is just so excited. that is all that the girls have been talking about. getting all dressed up in their costumes and going trick or treating. they just can't seem to wait to go & get some goodies. we have two halloween parties to go to tomorrow night, so it will be a busy day. first over to my in-laws for dinner, goodies and trick or treating and then off to my sisters for a bit more of the same thing. i am really looking forward to seeing all of my nieces all dressed up this year - they are all going to be just so darn cute. i am such a kid at heart - i have always loved halloween - all of the candy & getting all dressed up too. it is such a magical night. hope everyone has a blast - happy halloween!

okay, so this is my little cutie. looking so innocent & sweet. but the question still remains - is she a good witch or a bad witch...? so i seriously love this picture of her - telling me that she has just had enough pictures. ha! too cute. and yep, she thinks that she is just so big and ready for halloween. she is always just right there one step behind her big sister, quick to do whatever she does. but my poor little witch has no clue - she is already just so scared of everything related to halloween. and i was just so shocked that she even put on this little witch hat. she is not really going to be a witch this year - instead she is going to be our sweet little tinkerbell fairy. hopefully halloween will not leave my sweet little witch too scared. but we will soon find out - happy tricks or treats!
